FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is microblading?

A. Microblading is a semi permanent cosmetics procedure that allows you to dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrows. Microblading is performed by a manual deposit of pigment under the top layer of skin by using a special hand tool. It does not involve the use of a machine. The microblading technique involves drawing individual, crisp hair strokes that are more natural looking than any other type of permanent cosmetics. The blade of a microblade is 3 times thinner than the needles used for a tattoo. When performed correctly, the procedure is almost painless. Most technicians use numbing agents to limit discomfort.

Q. How long is the healing process?

A. The healing process takes 5-7 days give or take a few days depending on the clients skin type.

Q. How much do the procedures cost and does it include the follow up touch up?

 A. Please refer to the services page for all prices and procedures we offer.  There is a 4-6 week follow up that is included in the price, and that appointment will be scheduled at the time of your appointment.

Q. How long does a procedure take?

A. From start to finish one procedure takes 1 to 1-1/2 hours.

Q. Where are you located?

A. As of now we have locations in Midway and Bountiful Utah, with other locations opening shortly. Please refer to our make an appointment page for all of our current locations and locations opening soon.  Each location has a separate appointment calendar.

Q. Does the procedure hurt?

 A. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, we use two different numbing agents to help reduce the pain, but we suggest taking an over the counter pain medication/ibuprofen 1 hour before the procedure if you are worried about the pain.

Q. How often do you need a touch up?

 A. We recommend getting a refreshing touch up once a year, which is $150 per procedure.

Q. How long does the microblading last?

A. After the initial procedure and the follow up they can last up to 4 years depending on the clients care. Some factors that come into play which can reduce the lasting length are: tanning, anti-aging products, chemical peels, and certain medications can cause the procedure to fade out quicker.

Q. What is the post procedure process like?

A. After the procedure, the worked on area is going to scab/crust over.   You will be given an A&D ointment to keep the scabs moist.  The day after the procedure the pigment will oxidize, giving the area a extremely dark appearance.  Do not worry about this, it is completely normal.  The A&D ointment needs to be applied 3-5 times a day with a q-tip.  If the scab dries out and flakes off, it will take the pigment off with it.  It is extremely important to keep a thin layer of the ointment on at all time to keep the scabs moist. The scabs will slide off when they are ready (leaving the pigment implanted in the skin).  Do not pick or mess with the scabs.  If picked off it can cause scarring and pull the pigment out of the procedure area.
